Your Art, Our Affirmation: Queer & Trans Sticker Design Contest
At We Are Stardust, we believe art is a powerful form of resilience and joy. With everything going on in the world, we are in need of a counterbalance. We are seeking messages that center, uplift, and give love, hope, and vision during uncertain times. We want to hear your voice as to what messages might inspire the masses. Start dreaming and scheming about your empowering sticker design entry.

This contest is designed for community artists and crafters and folks who make art for the pure joy of self expression. We want to honor your time while keeping this space accessible and fun! Every artist who submits a design will be celebrated on the We Are Stardust social media page. Winning stickers will be given away freely to spread hope and positive messages and raise donations for a non-profit organization that supports the queer community. To further honor your time and contribution, We Are Stardust is also happy to provide a tax deductible donation receipt for any artist who wishes to donate their artwork to support our mission and spread images and messaging of queer hope and joy.

This Year’s Theme: Fiercely Flourishing
This year we are centering the theme of Fiercely Flourishing. To be fiercely flourishing is to bloom with an unapologetic intensity that refuses to be dimmed by the shadows of the world. It is the cosmic energy of a community that does more than just survive. We thrive with a vibrant power that is rooted in our history and reaches toward a brilliant future.
We are looking for art that captures this unstoppable growth and the radiant joy of taking up space exactly as you are.

The Challenge and The Prizes
We are looking for original sticker designs that embody this year's theme: Fiercely Flourishing. Your winning design will be professionally printed, distributed worldwide, and used to fundraise for our ongoing mission of spreading more light.
We’re crowning three winners, no hierarchy, just pure talent! Each of the three selected winners takes home $300 USD plus 50 stickers of their own masterpiece.
The three awards are:

The Fiercely Flourishing Award: Awarded to a sticker that most embodies this year's theme of “Fiercely Flourishing.”

Affirmation Station Award: Awarded to a sticker that affirms queer life in a special, uplifting way.

Trailblazer Award: Awarded to a sticker that is bold, daring, fresh, exciting, taking stickers to the next level.

Your time, creativity, and heart are not just appreciated, they are genuinely valuable. Making art takes real energy and skill, and we believe that deserves to be honored. As a 501(c)(3), We Are Stardust is proud to offer a tax-deductible receipt for your submission as a small token of our gratitude for contributing use of your art to our organizational mission. The Nitty Gritty Details
Who: This contest is open to LGBTQIA+ artists who are 18 years of age or older.
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by May 15th, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time.
Entry Fee: None. It is free to enter!

Technical Specifications
Please adhere to these requirements to ensure your art is ready for the stars:
Size: Suitable for a 2x2 inch sticker (square, round, or custom die-cut shape).
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for high-quality printing.
Format: High-resolution PNG or JPG with a transparent background. Vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG) are also accepted.
Bleed: Please include a 0.125-inch bleed if your design extends to the edge of the sticker.

Sticker Design Contest
1. Eligibility

Identity: This sticker contest is a dedicated space to celebrate the brilliance of our LGBTQIA+ creative community. We’ve built this specifically for you! We warmly invite everyone to apply, whether you consider yourself a professional artist or a hobbyist. We encourage submissions from BIPOC creators, disabled artists, and those from across the spectrum of marginalized identities. Your voice and art belong here.If you need any accessibility accommodations to complete this application, please reach out to reed@wearestardust.org.

Age: Entrants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of submission.

Location: Open to artists worldwide (where permitted by law).

Collaborations: Group submissions are permitted. However, for any design created by multiple artists, a single point person must be designated at the time of entry. This point person will serve as the sole point of contact for the contest and will be the designated recipient of any prize. We Are Stardust is not responsible for the distribution of prizes among collaborative team members; the point person bears full responsibility for any internal prize sharing or allocation.
2. Submission Guidelines & Content Standards

Originality: All designs must be the original work of the entrant. Copyrighted characters/logos is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.

Theme Alignment: Designs should reflect the theme Fiercely Flourishing

Safety: We Are Stardust reserves the right to disqualify entries containing hate speech, graphic violence, or imagery that contradicts our mission of affirmation and safety.

Prizes are non-transferable. Cash cards will be delivered digitally or via mail as determined by We Are Stardust. In the case of collaborative entries, the prize will be issued only to the designated point person.

5. Selection Process
Entries will be judged by the We Are Stardust Creative Team based on:

Creative Vision: Originality, alignment with queer joy and the theme “Fiercely Flourishing”.

Clarity & Impact: How well the design translates to a 2x2” sticker format.
-
Thematic Resonance: Alignment with the design statement provided.

6. Intellectual Property and Copyright
-
Non-Winning Entries: Artists retain 100% of the copyright to their work. We Are Stardust will not use non-winning designs for commercial purposes without a separate written agreement.

All Winners: By accepting a prize, winners grant We Are Stardust a non-exclusive license to print their sticker and feature the art in promotional materials. This allows us to print, distribute, and sell the sticker globally to fund our mission.

7. Publicity & Promotional Release
By entering, all participants grant We Are Stardust a perpetual, royalty-free license to display their artwork, first name, last initial, city, and state/province on our social media, website, and newsletters for the purpose of promoting the contest and celebrating the artists.

8. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless We Are Stardust from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation in the contest or the acceptance/use of any prize.
10. How to Enter
All entries must be submitted via the official Google Form link provided by We Are Stardust by Friday, May 15th, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. Late entries will not be considered.
